We partner with trusted suppliers to ship directly to you. This policy explains our dropshipping model, shipping times, costs, and what to expect with your order.
1. Our Dropshipping Model
dropt.beer operates on a dropshipping model, which means:
- We partner with trusted suppliers and manufacturers
- Products ship directly from suppliers to you
- We don’t hold physical inventory
- You get products directly from the source, often faster
- We coordinate everything – you only deal with us
What this means for you: Lower prices (we don’t have warehouse costs), faster shipping (products come directly from suppliers), and access to a wider product range. All orders are tracked and managed by dropt.beer.
2. Shipping Locations
2.1 Domestic Shipping (United States)
We ship to all 50 states, including:
- All continental US states
- Alaska and Hawaii (may incur additional fees)
- US territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands – additional fees apply)
2.2 International Shipping
We currently ship to select international locations. Check availability at checkout. International orders may be subject to:
- Import duties and taxes (customer’s responsibility)
- Customs delays
- Extended delivery times
2.3 Locations We Cannot Ship To
We cannot ship to:
- PO Boxes (for certain product types)
- Military APO/FPO addresses (available for select products)
- Countries under US trade embargoes
3. Processing Time
3.1 Order Processing
After you place an order:

- Supplier Notification: Immediate to 24 hours
- Packaging & Preparation: 1-3 business days
- Total Processing: 2-5 business days before shipment
Important: Processing times are separate from shipping times. Your order ships after processing is complete.
3.2 Peak Seasons
During high-volume periods, processing may take longer:
- Black Friday / Cyber Monday: Up to 7 business days
- Holiday Season (Nov-Dec): Up to 10 business days
- Other Sales Events: Up to 5 business days

5. Shipping Costs

5.2 Calculated Shipping
Shipping costs are calculated based on:
- Package weight and dimensions
- Delivery destination
- Selected shipping method
- Supplier location
Final shipping cost shown at checkout before payment.
5.3 Multiple Suppliers
If your order contains products from multiple suppliers:
- Items may ship separately
- You may receive multiple packages on different days
- Shipping is optimized to minimize costs
- You’ll receive tracking for each shipment
6. Order Tracking
6.1 Tracking Information
Once your order ships:
- You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email
- Email includes tracking number(s)
- Track via carrier website (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL)
- Check order status in your account dashboard
6.2 Tracking Availability
Tracking updates typically available within:
- Domestic: 24 hours after shipment
- International: 48-72 hours after shipment
6.3 No Tracking Updates?
If tracking hasn’t updated in 3 business days:
- Contact us at support@dropt.beer
- We’ll contact the carrier on your behalf
- We’ll provide updates within 24 hours
7. Delivery
7.1 Delivery Attempts
Carriers typically make 2-3 delivery attempts. If delivery fails:
- Package held at local carrier facility
- You’ll receive delivery attempt notice
- Pick up at carrier location OR reschedule delivery
- Packages held for 7-14 days before return
7.2 Signature Required
Signature required for:
- Orders over $500
- High-value items (jewelry, electronics)
- Customer request (available at checkout)
7.3 Safe Place Delivery
You can request delivery to:
- Front porch/doorstep
- Side door or garage
- Neighbor (with consent)
- Building reception/concierge
Add delivery instructions at checkout or contact us after ordering.
8. Delayed or Missing Shipments
8.1 Delayed Shipments
If your order is delayed beyond estimated delivery:
- Within 3 days of estimate: Tracking should update soon
- 5+ days late: Contact us – we’ll investigate
- 10+ days late: We’ll resend or refund
8.2 Lost Packages
If tracking shows delivered but you didn’t receive it:
- Check all possible delivery locations (garage, mailbox, neighbors)
- Wait 48 hours (sometimes marked delivered early)
- Contact us within 7 days of “delivery”
- We’ll file carrier claim and resend or refund
8.3 Our Guarantee
If your package is confirmed lost:
- We’ll resend at no cost to you, OR
- Issue full refund (your choice)
- No questions asked
9. International Shipping Details
9.1 Customs & Duties
International customers are responsible for:
- Import duties and taxes
- Customs clearance fees
- VAT (where applicable)
These fees are NOT included in your order total and are collected by your country’s customs office upon delivery.
9.2 Customs Delays
Customs processing can add:
- EU countries: 3-10 business days
- UK: 2-7 business days
- Canada: 2-5 business days
- Australia: 5-10 business days
- Other countries: 5-15 business days
9.3 Customs Documentation
We provide:
- Commercial invoice
- Accurate product descriptions
- HS codes for all items
- Declared value
10. Address Changes
10.1 Before Shipment
To change delivery address before shipment:
- Contact us immediately at support@dropt.beer
- Must be within 24 hours of order placement
- We’ll update if order hasn’t shipped yet
10.2 After Shipment
Once shipped, you can:
- Contact carrier directly with tracking number
- Request package hold at carrier facility
- Redirect to new address (carrier fees may apply)
11. Damaged or Incorrect Items
11.1 Damaged in Transit
If your package arrives damaged:
- Take photos of package and damaged items
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
- Email photos to support@dropt.beer
- We’ll send replacement or issue refund
11.2 Wrong Item Received
If you receive incorrect item(s):
- Contact us within 7 days
- We’ll send correct item at no cost
- We’ll provide prepaid return label for wrong item
- No restocking fees

15. Holiday & Peak Season Notice
During peak seasons, expect:
- Extended processing times
- Carrier delays due to high volume

- Valentine’s Day: Order by February 7
- Mother’s Day: Order by May 3

16. Force Majeure
We are not liable for shipping delays caused by:

- Carrier strikes or labor disputes
- Pandemics or public health emergencies
- Government restrictions or regulations
- War, terrorism, or civil unrest
In such cases, we’ll communicate delays and work to find solutions.
